LEED-ing the way in hospital acoustics

This qualitative study compares the acoustics of a LEED Platinum certified hospital to that of a non-certified hospital and examines the impact of the acoustics on the experience of doctors within the space. The study uses a combination of interviews and observations to gather data from doctors at both hospitals. The results of the study indicate that the acoustics in the LEED Platinum certified hospital are significantly better than those in the non-certified hospital and that the doctors in the LEED Platinum certified hospital reported a more positive experience due to the improved acoustics. The study concludes that LEED Platinum certification is an effective way to improve hospital acoustics and enhance the experience of doctors within the space.
